Laura spent the first 20 years of her career as a CPA, working in RVA for various companies in the insurance industry. During this time, Laura shopped and consigned at Kathi’s Kloset, a plus-size consignment shop and FFAQ’s predecessor. When Kathi’s Kloset’s beloved owner, Kathi Tudor, passed away unexpectedly, her family decided to close the store. As a life-long plus-size woman, Laura couldn’t imagine RVA without a single consignment store dedicated to curvy women…and she was ready for a new adventure! So, she left her big corporate job, worked closely with Kathi’s family and gave birth to Fit For A Queen!
Fit For A Queen moved to it’s new and improved location in the Quioccasin Station Shopping Center in March 2021. When Laura is not at the store, you can find her decorating and/or renovating anything and everything, doing volunteer work in Haiti, exploring and hanging out with her beloved niece, nephew and dog.
